BRENDERUP’S HISTORY
The Brenderup brand originates from 1936. That was when the blacksmith, Ove Justesen, bought the forge in the village of Brenderup, between Middelfart and Odense in Denmark.
Ove quickly established Brenderup engineering and began manufacturing equipment for agricultural machinery, which he had experience in from his previous work. This developed into the production of, amongst others, agricultural tools, which later developed into controllable harrows used in the region's many orchards.
The Brenderup name was added onto a trailer which was intended for tractors. The trailer became popular and to smoothen out the season he began manufacturing the trailer in a version for cars. This meant that he could also start producing the trailer hitches required to connect the cart to the car.
